Natural Subsistence is located in Northeast Ohio. Every year old man winter comes knocking at our door bearing us gifts of snow, ice, and below zero temperatures. Many of us have the luxury of a warm home, food, blankets, and layers of clothing to keep us warm. Often we take everyday luxuries for granted. This year, Natural Subsistence remembers those who do not have the same comfort as we do.
We began 2017 with giving the gift of compassion. Natural Subsistence partnered with our lovely friend and business contact, Likhon, to start a warm clothing/garment distribution program in Gangachhara Upazila, Rangpur, Bangladesh. Likhon was motivated to develop a clothing distribution program to assist the rural citizens of Bangladesh. Alike Northeast Ohio, Bangladesh does feel the numbing cold temperatures of the winter season. Without proper clothing or garments, many rural citizens are left to suffer in the cold.
We are happy to say 350 garments were distributed to citizens in need! So many people benefited from this program. Children, families, men, and most of the women pictured are widowed and feel helpless. Likhon, his friends and family shared with us photos of the clothing distribution. The smiles and gratitude of the recipients touched our hearts!
Take a virtual journey with us and experience the happiness through these photographs!
